The Digital T.V. Conversion
I grew up on an Indian reservation – some of the “neighborhoods” there I still refer to as America’s third world. Many people there live in poverty that many of us can’t comprehend.
The all time most squalid place on the face of the earth which I visited was a tiny village in Mexico on the road between Oaxaca City and Puerto Escondido. The conditions in this place were the absolute worst living conditions I have ever seen, anywhere – even worse than the poorest neighborhoods and tent cities I saw in Old Delhi.
All of these extremely impoverished places have something in common; the residents have televisions.
My point? No matter how impoverished someone is, there always seems to be enough money for television, yes, even for cable or satellite subscriptions.
With much bigger problems to solve why are we tolerating those who represent us in the government to wast our precious time and money on delaying the conversion to digital T.V.?
Write ‘em today – tell ‘em to get past it and move on to real issues.
